This week impressed upon my heart that the daily battles belong to the LORD. I tend to take care of the little things myself without inviting God into them. This week has shown me the consequences this WILL have in the future on my life and the lives of those I love. God is good.

The thing that has really stayed in my head, both with last weeks readings and this weeks, is that often repeated statement, "...but he did not remove the high places"
These kings will be known as men of God, as I count myself as a woman of God. The kings who seem to fall are the ones who didn't remove the high places. This makes me stop and wonder what the "high places" are in my life, and am I willing to remove them?
hmmmmm...this can be a difficult one, but with His help, I can do it!

The thing that surprised me was Jehoshaphat sidles up to the ungodly king and then wants a prophet of the Lord to tell them the outcome of the battle. Dugh...what happens when we compromise with the enemy?? Defeat is imminent!
He carries on a deceitful alliance and yet calls the prophet to truth telling. How double-sided is that!
Makes me reflect on my own relationships and truth.
